Everlast presents Conor Benn in the new campaign titles 'Greatness within'.
This was a wicked one. I directed this for everlast with some fascinating insight from the team:
'Conor makes it no secret that he had a privileged background compared to most fighters. He grew up in Spain and attended a Christian school until the age of 12 before moving to Australia. It was only when Conor turned 18 and had a run in with the Police that he found stability and discipline in boxing, where he had amateur bouts, some in peoples sheds while in Australia. Conor then returned to the UK and signed a professional contract for Matchroom, with very little amateur experience, where he came in raw but with box-office energy and power.'
Was great to get back onto 16mm again for this one. The heritage of the sport and Conor's story are a film within themselves, so the approach with 16mm was a reflection of that.
